Anthony J. Furino DDS, MSD

A native of Long Island, New York, Dr. Furino received his Bachelor's degree from Hofstra University, where he majored in Biology. He then graduated from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Furino then earned his Master of Science Degree in Dentistry from Temple University School of Dentistry while attending the school's post-graduate orthodontic program.

An active member of both the ADA and the Fifth District Dental Society, Dr. Furino is a past president of the Oneida-Herkimer County Dental Society. He is board certified in orthodontics, and is a member of the American Board of Orthodontics College of Diplomates. He is also a member of the Northeast Society of Orthodontics. He is past president of the Temple University Department of Orthodontic Alumni Association and is currently very involved in alumni affairs.

Dr. Furino began his orthodontic practice in New Hartford in 1982.

John M. Hamlin DDS

Dr. Hamlin is a native of New Hartford, New York, and a graduate of New Hartford Central High School. After receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Utica College, he went on to attend the School of Dentistry at S.U.N.Y. Buffalo. Dr. Hamlin was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Dental Corps., serving at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina, and in Beirut, Lebanon. He attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry for his post-graduate orthodontic residency.

Dr. Hamlin is board certified in orthodontics and is a member of the American Board of Orthodontics College of Diplomates. He is also member of the ADA and the Northeast Society of Orthodontists.

Dr. Hamlin joined Dr. Furino in the exclusive practice of orthodontics in 1988.

Paul M. Caruso DDS

We are happy to announce that Dr. Paul M. Caruso has joined our practice!!

Dr. Caruso is a native of Utica, New York, and a graduate of Notre Dame High School.  Dr. Caruso received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Rochester and the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from S.U.N.Y.  Buffalo School of Dentistry.

After maintaining a private general dental practice in Utica for 9 years, he returned to the University of Rochester’s, Eastman Dental Center to complete a post-graduate residency in Orthodontics. He currently is a visiting professor in the department of orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Center.

Dr. Caruso is a board certified orthodontist and is an active member of the ADA, American Association of Orthodontics, Northeast  Society of Orthodontists, Fifth District Dental Society and the Oneida Herkimer County Dental Society.
